Copilot Memory

GitHub Copilot jots down facts about your repository and preferences, and forgets ones it has not used in a while.

Definition

A GitHub Copilot feature, in public preview, that lets Copilot store facts it learns about a repository and the user's preferences, then use them in later tasks. Memories that go unused for 28 days are deleted automatically.

Example

Copilot learns that tests run with pnpm test:unit; if that memory goes unused for 28 days, it is deleted automatically.
